Vintage brass spittoon cuspidor stamped ‘Made in England’ on seat.
Smaller than most vintage spittoons. It was made for tabletops instead of bar floors. Stands 4½” tall, 6½” wide with all around girth of 20″. Made in the mid-20th century. Seat has a circle of bottom-wear (tiny scratches left by surface wear) and the seat shows a nice patina. The body does not have a patina build-up, this spittoon was polished often. No polishing scars, the body color is uniform.
There is a 1″ long dent near the base which is in image 1 but impossible to see because of reflections. The flared rim is perfect, no dents. The dark areas in image 2 are also due to reflection. Exterior and interior is clean. No corrosion.
Perfect ash receptacle for the patio. Add a little sand inside and it will stay put.
