Robert Maxwell Pottery Ashtray with Crushed Blenko Glass Decor

Vintage art ashtray by Robert Maxwell, signed on the base. Hand-made in the late 1960's.

Useful and beautiful ashtray design. Not too big, not too small. Measures 6″ round. Sports 14 raised rests surrounding the 4″ round ash receiving area inlaid with crushed Blenko glass (Blenko was a famous art glass maker of the mid-20th century). A cupped 1.25″ wide rim allows for balancing the smoke and it's a great place to put paraphernalia.

It's in like-new condition. Glazed in antique white and decorated with blue and green glass inlay. Made in the mid-20th century. The only signs of use are the remnants of felt tabs on the base that were used to protect the surface from scratching. [color-box]More About Blenko Art Glass[/color-box]
