Huge Blenko Glass Sun Face Heavy Patio Ashtray

Scarce Blenko Art Glass hot sun patio ashtray in golden amber vintage glass weighs 6.5 lbs. Mid-20th Century vintage American hand-made glass.

Mid-century modern design sun face appears to be red-eyed and melting. Made in the USA, late 1960’s to 1970’s. Six and a half pounds of luscious Blenko golden amber glass. Perfect as a patio ashtray, poolside or sun deck ashtray.

Big and heavy, substantial glass patio ashtray can’t get pushed around. Measures 11.25″ round, 1.75″ tall.    Cigar shown in image is 7″ long.  Four indented rests are 1/2″ deep and 1/4″ wide.  Flat ledge is 1.25″ wide, rests cigars, paraphernalia, incense, etc.   The deep stylized sun pattern was pressed into the seat. Literally glitters in the light from the surface.  The inside well is smooth but has hills and valleys created by the pattern on the reverse. These smooth bumps are great in assisting snuff-outs.
