Massive cigar ashtray made with 5 pounds of quality antique or vintage crystal.

Can’t find crystal ashtrays like this anymore! It’s huge, measures 7½” round, 2¾” tall. Has four beveled ¾” wide cradle rests which hold the smoke well above the ash surface. 5″ cigar shown in images. Perfect for the serious cigar smoker.

The crystal was blown into a deep fan and diamond pattern mold, then waffle decorations and portions of the base whirling star were cut by hand. Fire-polished to a brilliant shine. No seams. Hand-beveled ledges.

The whirling star on the base is enhanced with hand-engraved ‘trails’. Makers of EAPG (Early American Pressed Glass) used this pattern style to depict the Comet Encke discovered in 1918.

Look how the quality crystal reflects the colors of nearby objects! Beautiful, mesmerizing. It’s like a huge cut diamond.

This big luxurious cigar ashtray was made sometime between 1918 and 1950. Bottom-wear, which is helpful for determining age, cannot be seen as the base has a deep ridged pattern touching the surface. Maker unknown. Suspect Czech or American.

In excellent condition. Perfect ashtray for your fancy butts!
